Goodbye Youtube and thanks for all the fish (

Youtube let the other shoe drop in their end-stage enshittification this week. Last month, they required you to turn on Youtube History to view the feed of youtube videos recommendations. That seems reasonable, so I did it. But I delete my history every 1 week instead of every 3 months. So they don’t get much from my choices....

What are some FOSS programs that you think are a far better user experience than their counterparts? (

I used Plex for my home media for almost a year, then it stopped playing nice for reasons I gave up on diagnosing. While looking at alternatives, I found Jellyfin which is much more responsive, IMO, and the UI is much nicer as well....

Are there any Reddit refugees spending more time on Lemmy than Reddit?

I am theoretically switching over from Reddit to Lemmy. Finding myself spending more time on Lemmy than on Reddit.
